Computer Tuition & Training - My Methods (cntd)

< previous

I enjoy interacting with people, and I take pride in being able to teach all levels - from the basics of mouse-handling and switching a computer on and off, to delivering courses on HTML, search engine optimisation, etc. My teaching style is informal and friendly, yet efficient and rigorous.

I explain everything in jargon-free terminology, and in a memorable way by being entertaining and using analogies (it is very hard to remember dry literal instructions). However, I also recognise that users will constantly encounter jargon as they go along, and thus I explain the jargon they are likely to see, and thus prepare them for the "real world" of computing.

Moreover, I maintain this user-friendly approach all the way through, from beginning to end, unlike many courses which start very simply but suddenly plunge into the depths, leaving the course participant struggling.

For information about my teaching experience, please see the next page.
