Computer Tuition & Training
Well-trained staff who know how to use their computers properly are an asset to any company. If you are a small business you may find that when one member of staff goes on holiday the task they perform has to wait until they return! Would it not be better if everyone in the office is able to use all the software that is required - and efficiently?
E-learning courses are becoming more popular these days but they are still best employed in conjunction with personal tuition. For example, it frequently happens that e-learning students run into difficulties downloading, installing and using the e-learning software or have problems with using the internet for on-line courses.
It is common for many students to abandon such courses in despair because they have hit a wrong key and something has happened which they do not know how to deal with. A personal tutor can help students escape the notorious catch-22 of trying to learn how to use a computer by attempting purely computer-based courses!
When a student has a difficulty in understanding something, it is much quicker to ask a tutor a question, than to waste time ploughing through the help files and FAQs sections of an e-learning course only to find that their particular question is not answered there.
A personal tutor can save students hours of time by being able to answer any questions - a flexibility that purely computer-based courses can never provide. There is also no substitute for the flexibility of a course delivered by a live tutor who can adapt the material to the needs of the students. E-learning courses can be a false economy, unless backed up by a personal tutor.
