Throughout the site I have provided examples of what I can do in the form of advice which you are freely welcome to make use of - but please first read the disclaimer at the foot of the page! The advice is offered on many levels - some of it is valuable only for complete beginners, other advice is quite advanced. There may be something of value to you, whoever you are.

For IT Companies

If you browse the pages on this site, you will find that I have a very broad range of IT skills. I am not a specialist in any one field, except search engine optimisation, but I have an interest in all fields of IT, and can take some of the burden of your work off you if you are overloaded. For example, you may be building a website, but do not have the time to put it all together. You might simply want someone to do this for you, who has a good understanding of the implications involved in the many different ways in which sites are constructed, and thus who will know how to carry on the work you have started. (By the way, you will notice that at present this site is built using tabular layout. I do intend to convert it to CSS layout, as and when I have the time). Or you might have clients requiring IT support and advice and you would prefer someone else to take this on. There are many areas in which I could be of assistance to you, so do please take a good look around my site.

For Training Providers

I have always loved helping people learn new skills, and I have experience of IT tuition and support, including tutoring and course-writing on a voluntary basis for the Skye & Lochalsh Learning Centres Network and Training and Guidance (TAG) in Portree. I have the ability to get over difficult concepts via amusing and memorable analogies (an example), and can approach the same topic from many different angles to suit the learning style of the individual.

The pages on this site show the many and varied aspects of computing in which I can provide advice and training. I can teach at any level - from the absolute beginner who does not know how to switch a computer on or off, to the advanced user who wants to know how to maintain, configure and upgrade their computer for optimal performance, how to build and promote websites, and numerous other areas which they might wish to learn.

In this busy, time-pressured world, you may not have the time to work out how to improve the use of your computers.
